The Galaxy Tab is a mobile phone pad device which supports a large range of applications for its user to enjoy. It can be used as a mobile phone or messaging device to communicate with others, a music player, high definition video player, portable Internet device, digital camera, mobile office plus its many application provide information & entertainment on the move. It is a 3G capable Smartphone which supports WiFi® & Bluetooth® wireless connectivity. It is a slim form device, but due to its pad styling & massive touch screen this is not small in size therefore not pocket friendly. The Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with a powerful processor with an Android operating system version 2.2 & the user can enjoy its outstanding TouchWiz user interface. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is more than just a mobile phone & more than just a pad, it is both.
Appearance & Size
The casing has a smooth & high quality appearance & although its dimensions may be on the larger side, this is due to the Samsung Galaxy Tab being many devices all rolled into one. It weighs three hundred & eighty grams with its overall dimension being 19cm tall by 12cm wide by 1.2 cm deep. The Galaxy Tab has a touch screen form & supports a virtual onscreen keyboard when required. There is an incredibly large touch screen which dominates the front section of the casing which measures a staggering seven inches in size when measured diagonally. This screen provides an amazing viewing display as well as a multi touch input method. It displays up to sixteen million colours with a six hundred pixel by one thousand & twenty four pixel screen resolution.
Imaging, Media & Entertainment
Entertainment comes in many forms on the Samsung Galaxy Tab depending on the users individual entertainment needs. There is an integrated 3.1 megapixel camera lens located on the back of the casing, plus a forward facing camera lens neatly situated above the huge touch screen which supports a 1.3 megapixel camera lens. There is a selection of imaging & video settings which allow the user to capture, record, store & share photos or videos with ease. The user can enjoy music for entertainment using the built in music player or radio feature, & this device supports a high quality video experience, thanks to its high definition (HD) video playback support which turns the Galaxy Tab into a portable cinema.
Communication & Messaging
This Smartphone or pad device provides a wide variety of communication options allowing its user to communicate with friends, family, clients or customers. There is an assortment of messages service, call features & the user can stay in touch using social network applications & web sites. It comes with social network integration for popular web sites including Facebook for staying in touch with friends, or the user can enjoy YouTube for video clip entertainment on their Galaxy Tab. Its call features include a hands free speaker phone call option & the user can access their contacts details in their phone book. Its messaging services include an online instant message service, multimedia MMS messaging, email with direct email support & text messaging. There is five hundred & twelve megabytes of built in RAM & the Samsung Galaxy Tab is available with either sixteen gigabytes or thirty two gigabytes of internal memory, plus it has an expandable memory card slot which will hold a further thirty two gigabytes of memory. It works over quad band GSM networks & 3G HSDPA network depending on the user network requirements. The user can enjoy the navigation feature on their Galaxy Tab which allows the user to get step by step directions to new locations complete with a beautifully clear & large map display. There is a built in office features which allows the user to use Word, Excel & PowerPoint software on this mobile device. It's Bluetooth® & USB connectivity options allow the user to connect their Galaxy Tab to other compatible devices when data transferring is needed. When browsing the Web the user can enjoy multi touch screen controls as well as a large screen Web viewing experience.
