Overview
The Samsung I8700 Omnia 7 is a 3G Smartphone complete with a slim style touch screen designed casing. This Smartphone is from the Samsung Omnia range which includes other handsets such as the Samsung B7300 Omnia Lite & the Samsung B7330 Omnia PRO. It supports a Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system along with an amazing touch user interface. It comes with an integrated & user friendly Web browser, five megapixel digital camera, plus supports video recording capabilities, instant messaging, email & a variety of call features.
Appearance & Size
It has a slim bar form casing complete with a large sized touch screen, which allows its user to control & navigate all of this Smartphone's amazing features. The I8700 Omnia 7 comes with an intuitive touch screen & a stylish user interface. Its dimensions maybe slim but the handset is not small is size due to the large 4 inch touch screen which dominates the front section of the casing. It measures 1.1cm in depth making it slim enough to be carried in the users pocket without feeling bulky, plus it is 12.24cm in length by 6.42cm in width. The Samsung I8700 Omnia 7 comes in a black coloured case complete with a matt effect finish, although the front of the handset is filled by the beautiful super AMOLED touch screen. This screen provides a clear & bright viewing experience as well as a user friendly touch screen controlled facility. It supports a 480 pixel by 800 pixel screen resolution & a high colour display, plus the user can view & operate a virtual keypad or keyboard when inputting data.
Imaging, Media & Entertainment
Music can enjoyed on this Smartphone via the built in radio feature or via the music player. The user can simply transfer their favourite music onto their Smartphone & play it back using the music player feature, or tune into their favourite radio station for another form of music entertainment. There is a rear facing camera lens which is neatly integrated into the back of the casing & this camera lens is a five megapixel lens, allowing the user to capture still photos & record video footage using the I8700 Omnia 7. The user can change their camera settings & imaging options to suit their needs, which allows the user can capture the style of photo or video they desire. When the camera is in its video capturing mode the user can capture footage at up to twenty five frames per second. The Samsung I8700 Omnia 7 also supports a high quality gaming on this Smartphone complete with its large touch screen display & touch screen gaming controls it provides fun entertainment for the user.
Communication & Messaging
Easy communication features allow the user of the Samsung I8700 Omnia 7 to make & receive calls with ease, plus the handset supports a selection of user friendly messaging services allowing the user to communicate with others without making a call. The user may wish to communicate with others using the instant messaging service which is an online messaging service allowing the user & their compatible contacts to share text in a conversation style format, when both users are online. This Smartphone also supports a text messaging service, multimedia messaging & email, so the user can choose their preferred method of communication with friends, family & colleagues. The I8700 Omnia 7 Smartphone supports a useful Microsoft document editor & viewer.

The Samsung I8700 Omnia 7 is a 3G HSDPA & HSUPA capable Smartphone which provides the user with both GSM quad band network connectivity, as well as 3G connectivity. There is a built in Web browser complete with an easy to use search facility & the Smartphone's WLAN WiFi® technology allows the user to connect their handset to a nearby wireless LAN or hotspot to gain a connection to the Web whilst they are on the move. Up to six hours of talk time can be gained when the battery is fully charged & when the handset is used over a 3G network, but this may vary dependant on the phones features being used during this time. There is a built in assisted GPS navigation feature which allows the user to find out step by step instructions to their desired destination. When the user is transferring data between their Smartphone & other devices either a Bluetooth® connection or a micro USB connectivity can be used to connect two compatible devices. The Smartphone's EDGE & GPRS technology allow the user to enjoy high speed transfer rates when data is being transferred between the two connected devices.
